Car Show Raises Money For Kids With Cancer

The annual Women of the Moose Car Show, which took place in Lafayette on Saturday, will donate proceeds to the Emma Paige Foundation.

The Emma Paige Foundation is named after a local 5-year-old girl who is battling a brain tumor. The foundation raises money for Emma and other children with cancer around the state.

The Women of the Moose pick a new charity each year to donate too, and said the Emma Paige Foundation fit their mission.

"The Women of the Moose, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Moose Association are all about helping children," said event organizer Kimberly Owen. "When we checked out this foundation, and what it does for children, and children with cancer, there was no way we could not help them somehow."

"Any of the money that comes in definitely helps toward our mission," said Emma Paige Foundation president Arin Titus. "We can help multiple children all over our community. That helps the family with gas, travel expenses, comfort items for the children."

The Emma Paige Foundation was founded in February.
